Our Darjeeling Mission Hill is a floral and slightly-sweet spring tea grown in the renowned Mission Hill Tea Estate, Darjeeling. The pine-green tea leaves are picked in early march, withered over wire-mesh racks for 12 hours, tightly rolled, fermented outside for 2-4 hours, dried and eventually sorted for packing. When brewed, the leaves yield a shiny light-amber liquor, refreshing aroma, and sweet to taste. This tea is grown and processed in the Mission Hill Tea Estate, located in Gorubathan, West Bengal, India. The Himalayan tea center – Darjeeling – is prized amongst connoisseurs and steeped in history. The area’s harvests are of a distinct flavour due to the regions unique agro-climatic conditions. The gardens are very scenic with beautiful forests, mountains and streams. Many of the worlds most-prized teas are grown in Darjeeling.
